Abuse knows no bounds. Abuse does not discriminate. It is not limited to social or financial status. It does not care of your race, religion or age. Abuse is not concerned whether its victim is known or related. Abuse simply does not care.
Abuse comes in the forms of mental, emotional, physical and sexual. With abuse comes lies, shame and guilt; all that should not be on the victims. Abuse tears down ones self-esteem. It brings on anger, hate and fear.
Hi, my name is Chiquita Jones. I know firsthand what abuse does and how it affects an individual.
Now I AM AN OVERCOMER!!
Speaking Against Abuse is an organization that has been birthed out of my desire to help those who have walked in my shoes or are walking where I have been. Speaking Against Abuse (SAA) is here to be a tool in the lives who have been preyed upon to become overcomers in their lives as well!
Your freedom begins NOW!
I was enjoying a movie and started thinking about how flawless the movie was put together. It’s intended for the viewers, not to see what goes on behind the scene. Yes, mistakes are blotted out, some things are repeated several times until they get it right & some days are more difficult than other days.
WOW!! That’s what we experience everyday even though we are not considered a movie stars. I’m so thankful we have something far GREATER….An Awesome God who blots out our sins, He has given us another chance to get it right, and promised us He would never leave us nor forsake us not matter how difficult our days may be.
Umm! With that said, I am a movie star in the eyes of the Lord!!!
My mistake was not that I cursed someone out….because I do not curse.
My mistake was not fighting….because I have learned how to turn the other cheek.
I did not steal from anyone, kill anyone, nor did I try to destroy anyone. What I did was help someone. The mistake wasn’t that I helped this individual but my outlook in helping them.
One of the biggest problems a Christian faces is working with and around evil people. Evil people pull you down, always find fault in what you do, talk about your behind your back, lie on you to make themselves look good, etc. Yet, as a Christian we need to remember what God’s Word says. In 1 Corinthians 15:58 states “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” In Galatians 6:9 the Word reads “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
The enemy has a problem…..and the problem is YOU (Christian)! You are not a mistake because you are a Child of GOD…do what we are called to do and show the love of our Father to the world!
