The easiest thing for a person to do is….give up.
I recall running on the 880 relay team in High School. I was not the fastest but I was fast enough to run first leg. The coach said, “runners get on your mark, get set, GO!” I started out strong but somehow still ended up in 3rd place. I could not catch the two girls in front of me and was ready to give up before passing the baton to my teammate even though I was only a few feet away.
I’m so glad I did not because with the strength of my teammates we still won the race!
In the midst of our discouragement, despair, and disappointments DO NOT give up! Always remember you are not in it by yourself. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them (our enemies), for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
The enemy wanted me to give up in the middle of the race. He even tried to make me feel ashamed, but I now know the race is for those that endure to the end.
DON’T GIVE UP!!!!
